APPLICATIONS FOR THE SOUTH AFRICAN INSTITUTE FOR DRUG-FREE SPORTS AUDIT AND RISK COMMITTEE:
The South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport (SAIDS) is a national public entity in terms of Schedule 3 of the Public Finance Management Act (No. 1 of 1999, as amended).
In accordance with provisions of the PFMA, SAIDS seeks to appoint suitably qualified professionals to serve as audit and risk committee members.
Minimum requirements:
Ten (10) years of experience with expertise in the following areas:
- Financial Management, Auditing and Accounting
- Performance Management
- Risk Management
Proven experience of service on an Audit Committee.
Sound knowledge and understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (No. 1 of 1999, as amended), Treasury Regulations and Treasury Instructions
Key Functions:
- Interested persons who possess the relevant experience/qualifications will be expected to render advisory services in the following areas:
- Internal Audit
- Risk Management
- Performance Management
- Internal Financial Controls
- Accounting Policies
- Financial Reporting
- Governance (with specific relevance to a public entity)
- Compliance
Term of Office and Remuneration: Audit and Risk Committee members shall be appointed by the Board of the Institute to serve for a period of five (5) years. Members will be remunerated for their services according to Treasury guidelines on remuneration for audit committees.
