Learning Objectives
At the end of this module you should be able to:
1 – Know the modifications required for the sample collection process for athletes who are minors.
2 – Know the modifications required for the sample collection process for athletes with impairments.
Key Things to Remember
1 – An athlete who is a minor should always be accompanied by an adult representative.
2 – It is important that the SCP should not assume that athletes with an impairment will need assistance or will require any modifications to the doping control process.
3 – All modifications made to the sample collection process must be documented by the SCP on the DCO Report Form or Supplementary Report Form.
4 – When testing an athlete with an impairment, write the complete name of the sport and discipline on the DCF.
5 – The SCP must visually inspect any reused catheter to ensure it contains no residual urine.
