The South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport (SAIDS) imposed the following sanctions for the period of October–November 2024:
Manqoba Priest Madida
Cycling South Africa (CSA) | Three (3) year sanction
Following an In-Competition drug test conducted on Manqoba Priest Madida at the South African BMX Cup Series on 23rd June 2024, he tested positive for the presence of the RAD140 and the LGD-4033 (Ligandrol) Metabolite Dihydroxy-LGD-4033.
His period of Ineligibility began on 20th August 2024 (the date he was notified of his mandatory provisional suspension) and will be effective until and including 19th August 2027.
Daniel Caku-Caku
South African Rugby Union (SARU) | Three (3) year sanction
Following an out-of-competition drug test conducted on Daniel Mkonto Caku-Caku on 22nd February 2024, he tested positive for the presence of the Oxymetholone
Metabolite, 2αHydroxymethyl-17α-methyl-5α- androstane-3α,6β,17β-triol.
His period of Ineligibility began on 21st May 2024 (the date he was notified of his mandatory provisional suspension) and will be effective until and including 20th May 2027.
Nicholas Seoposengwe
Athletics South Africa (ASA) | Five (5) year sanction
Following two out-of-competition drug tests conducted on Nicholas Seoposengwe on 8th May 2024 and on 29 th July 2024, he tested positive for the presence of Erythropoietin (EPO) for the test of 8th May 2024 and for Trenbolone and its Metabolite Epitrenbolone for the test of 29th July 2024.
His period of Ineligibility began on 27th August 2024 (the date he was notified of his Mandatory Provisional Suspension) and will be effective until and including 26th August 2029.
Conrad Seabi
Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) | Financial Consequence
Following a test mission at an Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) sanctioned event – “EFC 115” on 11th July 2024, Conrad Seabi was charged with Article 2.5 “Tampering or Attempted Tampering with any part of Doping Control by an Athlete or Other Person”.
Conrad Seabi was the coach of one of the fighters at EFC 115 and was issued with a fine.
